The 2019 competition final

The 2019 competition final was held in Birmingham Town Hall on Saturday 29th June. The competition jury consisted of internationally acclaimed pianist Peter Donohoe, internationally acclaimed pianist Jayson Gillham, and independent programmer and festival curator Richard Hawley. 

The three finalists performed the following programme:

Sonata no 2 in G sharp minor, Op 19. 12'
Barber
Sonata in E flat minor, Op 26. 22'
The results were as follows:

First Prize: Ana Gogava
Second Prize: Karnsiri Laothamatas
Third Prize: Juan Mas Choclán
Audience Prize: Ana Gogava
